ingredients:
2 - 12 oz bottles of root beer (let them sit a bit and get flat.)
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup whole milk or half and half
This recipe couldn’t be more simple. Mix up all the ingredients. Let the foam die down a little.
Pour into your prepared ice cream maker. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes, I’d say.
Let me tell you, IT IS DELICIOUS. Wow.

Jenn from justJennRecipes.com makes this "Watermelon Bombe" every 4th of July for her uncle's party. It looks delicious! It doesn't actually taste like watermelon as it's made from vanilla ice cream, lime sherbet, raspberry sorbet and chocolate chips.She's shared the recipe on her blog here. I'll have to try it out this summer, but with homemade ice cream from my ice cream ball. {Tags: News} {More...}

GREEN Ice Cream You Can Make at Home!

In the other end add ice cubes (smaller cubes are best) and rock salt (any salt will do if you don't have rock salt, you'll just have to use a bit more). And then use your GREEN ... {Tags: GREEN} {More...}

If you think your ice cream is too plain, try mixing your favorite candy or nut in! Vanilla ice cream is a wonderful base for more exciting ice creams.
Chocolate & mint go well together. So do chocolate and raspberries or cherries. The possibilities are endless!
Just remember to add your stuff in during the last 5 mins or so of the freezing process. If you add it in earlier the ice cream might not freeze well or your mix ins will lose their consistency (i.e. soften too much, get soggy, etc).
Here's a great chocolate & mint ... {Tags: candy cane, chocolate, mint, mix ins, non-dairy, soy, vegan} {More...}

Edible BowlsWe’ve all seen edible bowls made from waffle cone batter. Although these ice cream bowls are good, they aren’t very creative, and they aren’t very exciting ways to serve delicious frozen treats. Make an edible bowl that is creative and quite tasty. Bake your favorite cup cake recipe, and hollow out cupcakes to make fun and creative bowls. After the cupcakes are sufficiently cool, put them in the freezer for several minutes, and before adding a scoop of ice cream, line the bowls with a layer of chocolate shell. The hardened shell will keep the ice cream from making ... {Tags: News} {More...}
