If you have some time on your hands (about 4 hours) and only want to make a small amount of ice cream, definitely check out the Battery Operated Ice Cream Maker.

You can make two flavors at once!  This is great for people who only want to make a single serving of ice cream, or it’s a great product for kids.

No fussing with salts or cranks - just prepare the raw ingredients, pour into the handy ice cream maker, push the freeze button and pop into your freezer for four hours. You’ll be surprised at how this little, inexpensive machine can produce ice cream delicious enough for your dinner party and yummy enough for the kids!  Order a Battery Operated Ice Cream Maker.

If you love adding candies to your ice cream, Deni has the perfect ice cream maker for you.  The Automatic Ice Cream Maker with Candy Crusher gets the job done!  This ice cream maker uses a freezer canister and then plugs in to make your ice cream.  Again, no rock salt or ice needed.  We’ve got them in a lovely bright blue color!  Order one today!

I Like Beans in My Ice Cream

Yes, I know I like weird things, but seriously, Mung Bean Shakes are delicious!  I’m not alone in this sentiment either:  Green Bean Shake Love Story. Last night we ate dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant in town again.  I wanted another Red Bean shake, but they were out and suggested I have mung bean instead.  I said yes and I wasn’t disappointed.  While not as flavorful (to me, anyhow) as the red bean shake, which I think has a slight chocolate taste, the mung bean shake was pretty similar.  Next time I think I’m going to go for the avocado shake, as I’ve recently taken a “taste bud interest” in avocadoes (see my blog post about avocado ice cream).

These types of shakes are easy to make because they use coconut milk.  Just puree up your fruit or bean and mix with the coconut milk.  Did you know you can make shakes in the Ice Cream Ball?  Well, you can!  Just add the shake mixture like you would normally do for ice cream into the cyclinder.  FIll the other end with ice and salt.  Now, because it’s a shake and not meant to be fully frozen, you don’t have to shake it as long — meaning you’ll have more energy to make another round of shakes sooner! :)

Making homemade ice cream is always so much fun.  For those times when you make more than you can immediately eat, or when you want to make some to give to a friend or family member, I’ve found the best storage container around!

It’s made by Sweet Bliss and it holds an entire quart of ice cream.  The lid even has a spot for you to write in the date and flavor or other message.  Right now they only come in two styles: pastel stripes and wooden barrel.  They are made of heavy paperboard so they are pretty sturdy (a little better than an ice cream box from the store) and although they aren’t reusable for ice cream, you can use them for plants!

Sweet Bliss Containers

We sell them on our website!  (Click the image to order!) I fit the entire contents of my homemade ice cream from my MEGA Ice Cream Ball into it!  Yum!
